Clackamas County Farm Bureau Scholarship – Deadline: APRIL 1, 2010

Clackamas County Farm Bureau is again offering scholarships to area students interested in pursuing careers in agriculture. A number of scholarships ranging between $1,500 and $3,000 per recipient will be awarded to students pursuing a two- or four-year college degree in agriculture. The scholarships are available to any Clackamas County high school graduate, resident, or prior scholarship recipient. A total of $15,000 in scholarships will be given by Clackamas County Farm Bureau. The application deadline is April 1.

Douglas Co. Farm Bureau Scholarship – Deadline: APRIL 1, 2010

Douglas County Farm Bureau is offering six $1,000 scholarships for the 2010-2011 school year to students pursuing an agriculture or forestry-related career or are the children/grandchildren of a voting Douglas County Farm Bureau member (in which case any major will be considered).

Applicants must be Douglas County high school graduates, either graduating this year or already enrolled in a higher education institution. Douglas County home-school students are also eligible to apply.

Selection of winners will be based on merit, financial need, initiative, and demonstration of interest in forestry or agriculture.

Past recipients are eligible to reapply.

OFB Women’s Advisory Council Memorial Scholarship - Deadline: MAY 1, 2010

The Oregon Farm Bureau Women’s Advisory Council is now accepting applications for its 2010 Memorial Scholarship.

The scholarship is open to women who have completed at least one year of college and are pursuing an agriculture- or forestry-related major. Applicants also must be voting or supporting Farm Bureau members or be part of a family that has a Farm Bureau voting or supporting membership.

Both full-time students, with at least 12 credits per term, and part-time students, with at least 6 credits per term, are eligible.
