Are you a produce grower who wants to stay ahead of federal food safety requirements? The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) is offering a free, web-based Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training Course on Wednesday and Thursday, December 10-11—and it’s a great opportunity for fresh produce farmers to check off a key Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) requirement.
Over the span of two half-day sessions, this course covers the basics of produce safety, FSMA compliance, and what it means for your farm. It's especially valuable for growers who need to meet the training requirement under the FSMA Produce Safety Rule (21 CFR §112.22(c)).
Here’s what you’ll get:
Practical, farm-focused food safety education
$50 worth of training materials—yours to keep
A certificate of completion ($35 value)
The best part? It’s free—but space is limited, and spots are expected to fill quickly. We recommend registering as soon as possible to reserve your seat.
