On August 15, 2025, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) published a Request for Information (RFI) in the Federal Register seeking comments on state laws that unduly burden interstate commerce, raise costs, or harm markets.

OFB supports the reforms outlined in House Bill 2692 based on farmers' experiences with Oregon OSHA's rulemaking on ag labor housing.

As written, these rules put family farms at risk by creating unworkable compliance costs and shrinking available workforce housing.
